Checking Player Cards
This affects Girls Under-19, Women's Over-30 and Women's Over-40 divisions only.
For the past 2 years, the Ontario Soccer Association has been in the process of implementing a new player registration system, and it is not going well. Player registration, and the production of EODSA ID Cards, is much delayed.
Teams and Clubs are still required to make every effort to obtain player cards at the earliest opportunity.
However, teams are requested to check player cards only if there is an issue to resolve. If the player does not have an EODSA ID Card, any government photo ID (Driver License, Health Card, BYID card, ....) is an acceptable alternative.
The objective is to validate the identity of the player, not to be constrained by the OSA's ability to choose or implement software, or the EODSA's ability to print ID cards.
